So much to see and do in High Park!

High Park is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting facilities, cultural facilities, educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo.

One-third of the park remains in a natural state, with a rare oak savannah ecology. High Park is closed to car traffic on weekends and public holidays.

Situated in the centre of the park since 1893, High Park Zoo is a popular year-round destination for visitors to High Park. 

A non-profit community group, Friends of High Park Zoo, raises funds to reconstruct the Deer Pen Road pedestrian trail, install additional seating and shade structures, and create new gardens and plant trees.

Situated centrally in High Park on Allotment Lane off Colborne Lodge Drive, the Allotment Gardens are for individuals to plant flowers and vegetables.

Garden allotments can be booked or renewed online on The City of Toronto website.

Creativity and innovation inspired the original owners of Colborne Lodge, John and Jemima Howard, to leave High Park as a legacy that all Torontonians benefit from today.

Nearly 200 years later, Colborne Lodge is an active hub for community events in High Park. Locals and visitors alike are welcomed to see the place where the vision for High Park was born.

The High Park Greenhouses in Toronto are a 40,000-square-foot glass complex operational since 1956. Located within the park, they produce nearly two-thirds of the annual plants used for public landscaping across Toronto.

The greenhouses are part of the city's horticultural efforts and are near the Hillside Gardens. The Greenhouses are not open to the public.

Opened in 1998, the High Park Children's Garden and Teaching Kitchen is home to the Children's Eco Programs where children and youth can participate in organic gardening, nature education and healthy cooking programs.

Enjoy the theatre all year long in High Parks Amphitheatre.  Open on performance days: Tuesday to Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

High Park is a popular destination for dog-walking. Dogs must be on-leash (except in the designated off-leash area) and under control at all times.
